Mikhaella Norwood's week-long Community-Builder-in-Residence program will empower MCSP community members through a series of art activations that help us to tell our own varied stories, strengthen connections within and between individuals in the community, and use creative expression as acts of resistance to more deeply understand our own experiences and those of others and, together, imagine the world(s) we want to live in.
The arts activations are carefully designed and sequenced to help us all engage in questions around personal and social identities and how we might conspire and collaborate together to resist oppression. They exemplify resistance to a single narrative and empower us, regardless of artistic background or major, to see our own life as an ever-evolving works of art, designed for acts of both resistance and creation in the world.
