Life Sciences Orchestra Concert
The finale to our 10th season!
The U-M Life Sciences Orchestra will play a free concert of Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Corigliano to close its 10th season of blending science and music. The orchestra, made up of nearly 100 faculty, staff, students and alumni from the health and biomedical areas of U-M, will be introduced by Ora Hirsch Pescovitz, M.D., CEO of the U-M Health System. On the program are "Voyage" for strings by living composer John Corigliano, the first movement of Beethoven's "Emperor" piano concerto featuring Cathy Twu, and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5. The LSO is conducted by music director Robert Boardman and assistant conductor Avlana Eisenberg.
