TEACH in the ❤️ of ALASKA - Academic Interventionist - Experience Bristol Bay
Southwest Region Schools and Dillingham City School District have partnered together to recruit quality mid-year certified teachergraduates for an Academic Interventionist internships. Every January to May, we hire six to ten teachers graduates to provide math and reading interventions in rural Alaskan schools. The interventionists are set up for success with a strong support system, professional development for NWEA MAP data system, expert support for writing math and reading individualizedlearning plans. This resume-building opportunity is a great stepping stone from student teaching to the classroom. Often referred to as an opportunity abroad with the ability to see the wild beauty of Alaska and meet the First Peoples of the Bristol Bay Region in this immersive Alaskan experience!
Experience the Bristol Bay region of Alaska from January to May
$21/hour; 37.5 - 40 hours/week
$500 pay advance
PAID roundtrip travel –from any US airport to your teaching site
PAID housing – fully furnished w/all living needs
Winter gear and cell phone & service provided
