Jon Sobel is CEO of Sight Machine, an early-stage company that is applying Internet technology and computer vision to improve manufacturing. Sobel has served on the leadership teams of several pioneering Silicon Valley companies including Tesla Motors, SourceForge, and in its early years, Yahoo! He also served as a litigation associate and law-firm partner for Folger, Levin & Kahn in San Francisco, in a strategy and deal-making role for CBS Digital, and as in-house counsel for two hardware companies in Silicon Valley. Sobel received an undergraduate degree from Princeton, a law degree from the University of Michigan, an MBA from Wharton, and a journalism fellowship from the Poynter Institute of Media Studies.
