This workshop is designed to introduce graduate students to fundamental concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), as well as accessibility, belonging, and justice (A, B, and J).
Learning objectives for this workshop include:Defining and differentiating between key termsUnderstanding the historical contexts and antecedents shaping current DEI discourses and practices in higher educationExploring emerging research, scholarship, and public policy debates impacting DEI in higher education todayParticipants should leave this workshop with a deeper understanding of the historical evolution of DEI discourses and policies in higher education as well as additional resources for future DEI learning.
