The Coalition for Queer People of Color and Stonewall Democrats are delighted to bring to you ''Beyond Gay Marriage."
Join us this Tuesday as we highlight LGBTQ issues that are often overlooked by the mainstream media, and how they play out in the political climate of the country. We have a fabulous panel that will discuss trans* rights, immigration, homelessness, HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ youth.
The panel will include:
+ Jessie Fullenkamp: Program Supervisor at Ruth Ellis Center
+ Nesha Haniff: Professor at Department of Afroamerican and African Studies
+ Stephanie White: Board Member at National Center for Transgender Equality
+ Jonah Thompson: Riot Youth Advisor at Neutral Zone
+ Kathleen Rubio: Social Work Allies for Immigrant Rights
The event will be held in the Michigan Law School, Hutchins Hall 132, the building on the corner of Monroe and State. Refreshments will be provided. We hope to see you there!
