Jasmine Brooks, M.Ed is a proud University of Michigan Alum from the College of LSA Class of 2012. After graduating from U of M she went on to become a first grade teacher in her hometown of Detroit, MI at Fisher Magnet Lower Academy. After two years in the classroom, Jasmine shifted to working with older students transitioning to Voyageur College Prep High School in Southwest Detroit. With various roles such as College Success Coordinator, Dean of College Success and then Assistant Principal, the last ten years of her career has been dedicated to working directly with students and families and post-secondary education and planning. Now in her new role as Senior Director of Community Hubs with the Detroit College Access Network, there is still more work to be done to support Detroiters, students, and families with college and career readiness. As a Michigan Alum, Jasmine will continue to be a leader in her hometown.
