Honors Pre-Health Workshop: Writing a Personal Statement
Are you ready to write your personal statement for medical school? Would you like support on getting started? Whether you already have written a draft of your statement or are just now beginning to think about applying to a medical school or another health care professional program later this year, this workshop offers tips on writing a personal statement to help you get started.
Join me for an information session to learn about:Identifying the main theme of your statementConveying your “why”Being authenticStaying true to youWriting a statement to emphasize skills and competenciesAppreciating the value of writing and rewriting your statementThe same session will be repeated on the following dates in January 2024:Thursday, January 25 (4-5:30 pm)Monday, January 29 (4-5:30 pm)Sessions are held in the Honors Lounge, 1306 Mason Hall and are led by Julie Nelson, Pre-Health Advisor.
