Join us for a conversation with Michigan State Representative Lisa Brown, who will share her thoughts on the challenges and opportunities faced by women in politics and public policy.

After saying the word “vagina” during a June 2012 debate on reproductive health, Representative Brown was barred from speaking on an unrelated bill. The ensuing outcry from feminist organizations spurred national headlines and a performance of the “Vagina Monologues” on the steps of the Michigan State Capitol in Lansing attended by thousands.
