OGPS Student Engaged Mentee Workshop Series

Are you a student or postdoc researcher who is interested in evidence-based ways to optimize your mentor/mentee relationship in the lab? The OGPS “Engaged Mentee” series connects learners at all stages to fulfill this goal through an interactive, cohort-based workshop. We invite you to join your peers during this upcoming program series to explore various methods in mentee communication and participate in a forum to help solve mentee dilemmas. This program will be particularly helpful for learners who identify as first-generation students, are experiencing challenges in navigating the lab ecosystem, are new to research, or want to connect and share experiences with their peers.By the end of the program, mentees will develop an understanding of their preferences for mentoring relationships and have a toolbox of strategies for advocating for that relationship, as well as approaches when mentor/mentee relationships become difficult.
