Adventures in Intergenerational Programming

Speaker: Matt Kaplan, Ph.D., Professor of Intergenerational Programs and Aging, Penn State.

Dr. Kaplan conducts research, develops curricular resources, and provides statewide leadership in the development and evaluation of intergenerational programs.

This presentation will explore some of the many ways in which intergenerational engagement programs have taken form across the globe and draw attention to implications for enriching the lives of young people and older adults, promoting family cohesion, and strengthening community support systems. The session will also note several upcoming conferences, international study tours, and other opportunities for learning more about the intergenerational field.

This is the second of six lectures in the third series of Thursday lectures, "Generations: Bridging the Divide."
