Mental health and well-being have become terms frequently referenced as important aspects of our lives. But what exactly does this mean, and how does it play a role in an academic environment? This lecture aims to help people understand well-being better and take a more complete approach to mental health

We’ll review mental health challenges within the STEM fields, in addition to reviewing empirically-based strategies to build resilience. Participants will also have a chance to discuss ways to help foster our community’s well-being and create a foundation for a successful, innovative and thriving STEM community.
