"There is a room waiting for you here..."; on the life of Raoul Wallenberg

Join us for "There is a room waiting for you here ...," a lecture by journalist Ingrid Carlberg on the life of Raoul Wallenberg.

Carlberg is the author of a comprehensive biography of Raoul Wallenberg, a Swedish architect and humanitarian and graduate of the University of Michigan. Wallenberg is credited with saving tens of thousands of Hungarian Jews from Nazi extermination camps during the final stages of World War II.

Immediately following the talk, at 4:00 p.m., a related exhibit opens in the Art Lounge of the University of Michigan Union: To me there’s no other choice – Raoul Wallenberg 1912-2012. The exhibit opening will be followed by a reception.
