Critical Reading--OLLI (50+) Study Group

Participants will read at least one short story for every class, followed by discussion and critique. At the end of each session they will evaluate the works discussed. The textbook is "The Norton Anthology of Short Fiction", sixth edition, 2000 edited by R. V. Cassill and Richard Bausch. Michael Byers is the author of a collection of stories, "The Coast of Good Intentions" and two Novels, "Long for This World" and "Percival’s Planet." He directs the MFA Program in Creative Writing at the U of M.


Class meets every other Friday, 1/25, 2/8, 2/22, 3/22, 4/5, 4/19, 5/3, 5/17, 5/31, No class 3/8.
