Launch your Entrepreneurial Career with Operations Experience
Hear the stories of startup leaders working in operations who started their careers with Venture for America and gain insight into how the Fellowship shaped their entrepreneurial careers.
During this event you will hear about Venture For America and how the VFA Fellowship can be alaunching pad for your career. You'll also get the opportunity to hear from one of our alumni, John Harris Alexander ('20 San Antonio) directly about his VFA experience, and working in operations.
Venture For Americaaims to mobilize the next generation of entrepreneurs and equip them withexperience, training, and community to become startup leaders and founders. During the two-year Fellowship, our Fellows are salaried, full-timeemployees at startups or high-growth companies in one of our 13 cities, with many working in ops roles.
Through the program, Fellows find lifelong friends, an entrepreneurial community, and a network of individualsto help take their career and ambitions to the next level. We’ll walk you through our mission, entrepreneurial programming available to our Fellows, how Fellows find their job, and what it's like to be a member of the VFA community and network. We'll close out with a Q&A with our panelist.
Venture For America Fellows work in a range of roles and industries. In this event, we'll highlight operations roles, which many Fellows work in during their Fellowship. Leaders in Ops roles work across departments to align teams, set goals, execute initiatives and improve processes thatwill help the organization run efficiently and effectively. Depending on the industry and size and stage of the company, business operations may manifest in different roles.
To apply to Venture For America's 2024 Fellowship class you must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or DACA recipient, graduated from your undergraduate program between 2021 and June 2024.
