Please join our virtual recruitment event to learn more about USDA's Pathway Program for the Tech Workforce.
OPM's Pathways Program was designed to help agencies recruit and hire well-qualified students and recent graduates to internships and full-time employment by streamlining hiring processes.
The Pathways Programs being covered in this session include:
1. Internship Program
• Provides paid opportunities for students who are currently enrolled in or accepted for enrollment in a qualifying educational institution to work in federal agencies and explore career paths related to their academic field of study or career interest.
• Allows agencies to meet temporary and short-term hiring needs while providing the opportunity to learn about a student's skills and competencies before hiring into permanent positions.

2. Recent Graduates Program
• A one-year development program that promotes civil service careers torecent graduates who have received a degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution within the previous two years.
• Provides agencies with the ability to learn about recent graduates’ competencies,skills, and fit before providing the opportunity for non-competitive conversion to a permanent position.
