Stephen Ward will moderate a discussion of King’s participation in the Great March to Freedom in Detroit June 23, 1963 where the “Dream” speech was first presented. King’s visit to U-M in 1962 and the memorial held in his honor at Hill Auditorium following his assassination in 1968 will also be discussed.
