Join us for a free clinic dedicated to addressing the challenges of name changes for transgender and gender nonconforming people.
Learn about:
- how to legally change your name and gender marker in the state of Michigan
- how to update your Social Security information, passport, driver’s license, and birth certificate
Additionally:
- Legal volunteers will be on-site after the presentation to answer questions and assist with forms.
- Finger-printing services will be available on site with no fee. If you would like to take advantage of the finger printing services, please bring a government-issued photo ID.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be an officer from the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office to offer fingerprinting at the event. This is a necessary step in the process for adults 22 or older, and providing the service in this space avoids the need to go to the Sheriff's Office directly and individually.
