Join Lola von Miramar, a Puerto Rican drag queen who loves cooking, and LaWhore Vagistan, everyone’s favorite South Asian drag aunty, as they discuss the radical and fascinating works of Lawrence La Fountain-Stokes (Translocas: The Politics of Puerto Rican Drag and Trans Performance, University of Michigan Press, 2021) and Kareem Khubchandani (Decolonize Drag, OR Books, 2023). Together, they will glamorously dive deep into the pages that uncover complexities of the art of drag performance that you will not learn about on RuPaul’s Drag Race.
