We, as individual students and a collective organization known as the Latinx & Indigenous Student Alliance (LISWA), seek to promote the academic, social, and mental well-being of the Latinx & Indigenous Diaspora at the School of Social Work. Additionally, the Latinx & Indigenous community at large, through the praxis of social justice, anti-racism, cultural empowerment, and community building. One of our principles as an organization is to empower our communities and to educate on the history of colonization while also resisting its current manifestations.
