On the lighter side, George Bernard Shaw’s Village Wooing (dirs. Shayna Lopatin and Elizabeth Whitmore) offers a 1930s cruise ship romantic comedy characterized by Shaw’s whetstone-witty dialogue. David Auburn’s Proof (dirs. Bekah Harrelson and Max Newman) is a poignant drama unraveling the complexities of genius, family dynamics, and mental illness against the backdrop of mathematical discovery.
