Fireside Chat with UM Alumni USDA Deputy Under Secretary Stacy Dean

The UM Sustainable Food System Initiative, Transformative Food System (TFS) Fellows are welcoming USDA Deputy Under Secretary Stacy Dean, to speak on her career path from a UM student at the Ford School of Public Policy to working inside the federal government to advance President Biden’s agenda to improve nutrition assistance for struggling families and individuals.
This fireside chat, titled “Leveraging the USDA to tackle nutrition insecurity and systemic racism in the food system”, will be held on Friday, April 19th, 3-4:30pm at the Ford School for Public Policy, Walter and Leonore Annenberg Auditorium (Room 1120). The event is open to the public and is supported by faculty and students of the Ford School of Public Policy, the School for Public Health, the School for Environment and Sustainability, and Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
