Jim Douglas has 40 years of experience in local and federal law enforcement and security. He is a graduate of the Ann Arbor Police Academy, the FBI National Academy and has a B.S. degree with majors in political science, history and criminal justice. He served as an adjunct professor in criminal justice at Washtenaw Community College and as an instructor for the Washtenaw County Police Academy. His federal service began in 1994 when he was appointed by President Clinton as the U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Michigan and was responsible for field operations in Detroit and five Michigan field offices.
