Walk the Line: Ukraine between Russia and the EU
Pawel Kowal, Member of European Parliament (Poland)
Pawel Kowal was first elected to the European Parliament in 2009 from the Miner Poland - Swietokrzysk constituency. Since that time he has concentrated his efforts on the sphere of EU-Ukraine relations. Currently Kowal is Chairman of the European Parliament delegation to the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Cooperation Committee (PCC). In 2010 and 2012 he was the head of the European Parliament's observation mission to the Ukrainian elections. Kowal is a member of the EU's Conference of Delegation Chairs, Committee on Foreign Affairs, Subcommittee on Security and Defense, and Delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly. He serves as a substitute to the Committee on Industry, Research, and Energy and the delegation to the EU-Moldova PCC. Kowal is a co-founder of the Poland Comes First Party, which was created in 2010. He has served as the party's Chairman since June 2011.
