NADAC's May 9 Webinar: Data Dive into Art Museums: Staff Demographics & Leadership Insights
Art museums are not only repositories of culture but also vibrant centers for learning, exploration, and community engagement. They play a crucial role in preserving artistic heritage, fostering creativity and imagination, and promoting understanding of our shared history. But who are the people behind this work?

We are excited to invite you to a special webinar hosted by the National Archive of Data on Arts and Culture (NADAC) in collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). This event will spotlight the valuable insights from art museum studies conducted by Ithaka S+R in partnership with the Mellon Foundation, the Kress Foundation, the American Alliance of Museums (AAM), as well as the Association of Art Museum Directors (AAMD) and the Black Trustee Alliance for Art Museums (BTA).

During the webinar, Liam Sweeney, a Senior Analyst at Ithaka S+R, will share key findings from three important surveys: the Art Museum Staff Demographic Survey, the Art Museum Black Trustee Survey, and the Art Museum Director Survey. These surveys offer a comprehensive look at the state of art museums today, examining topics such as staff diversity, museum governance, and leadership challenges. The presentation will explore how art museums have navigated significant challenges over the past two years, including the impact of the global pandemic and social and environmental transformations, and continue to adapt in response to these changing circumstances.

Whether you are a museum professional, researcher, or enthusiast, this webinar offers an invaluable opportunity to delve into the latest research on art museum staff and governance and explore avenues for further investigation. We encourage you to join us and participate in this enlightening discussion!
