Over the last five years, he was part of the mission-driven team at Caption Health, where the team leveraged AI and ultrasound to improve access to early disease detection, starting with heart failure. He is currently advising and investing in startups in AI / deep tech (e.g., infrastructure for AI, medical imaging AI, copilots for hedge funds, direct air capture)As the SVP of Product & Strategy at Caption Health, Ali was responsible for product management, business development, and strategy across the organization. Caption's breakthrough AI platform enabled healthcare professionals to perform high-quality ultrasound exams for early disease detection, starting with heart failure. The AI platform was designated as a breakthrough device by the FDA, received a new reimbursement code from CMS (NTAP), and was recognized as one of the Best Inventions of 2021 by Time Inc. Caption raised $65M+ from firms including Khosla Ventures, DCVC and the Gates Foundation. Last year, Caption Health was acquired by GE Healthcare.Ali has an MBA from Stanford GSB.
