Dave Ostreicher
About the speaker: Dave Ostreicher is a Purchasing Supplier Development Division Manager at Toyota’s North American Research & Development Headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He recently completed his second multi-year assignment in Toyota City, Japan, where he served in a liaison role with North America. Previously at Toyota, Dave guided the procurement process for the billions of dollars of components needed for all Toyota and Lexus sedan production in North America. Dave has also held roles that included the education and development of more than 400 supply chain professionals, the leadership of all supplier-facing information systems, and responsibility for North American stamped body shell components – a $1.5 billion annual buy.
Prior to joining Toyota in 2004, Dave earned a Bachelor's and Master's in Industrial and Operations Engineering and a Bachelor's in Japanese Language and literature from the University of Michigan. There, he was president of the Engineering Global Leadership Honors Program and a Fellow of the Tauber Institute for Global Operations. While Dave was on campus, he held various roles in AIESEC (an international student internship exchange organization), Residence Education, and the Michigan Pops Orchestra.
In his free time, Dave engages with his local community and alma mater in various advisory board positions. He also enjoys cycling, trumpeting, international travel, workshop facilitation, and creating memorable moments with his wife and three children, often centered around good food and drink.
