This webinar will provide an overview of dramatic changes in courtship processes, spouse choice and interrelationships between courtship process and marital instability. Using the data from Chitwan Valley Family Study, a non-Western setting, which until recently was characterized as a society with arranged marriage, gender segregated marital relationships, loveless marriages and very low level of divorce, we investigate the role of couple’s concordance in reporting courtship shaping the relationships between courtship and marital instability. Understanding the complexities between concordance in courtship and marital instability is essential for developing interventions and support systems that promote healthy and stable marriages. There will be a Q&A session after the presentation.

The webinar will be hosted using Zoom. Registration is required to attend the webinar. Support provided by NICHD (R25 HD101358). Click the link below to register.
