Michigan Medicine pioneered the first ED-ICU in the country. Over the past decade, this model has begun to spread...however, as this approach gains traction, hospitals with limited budgets face challenges in adopting this “Cadillac solution.” This seminar explores how critically ill patients, such as those with respiratory failure, diabetic emergencies, or overdoses, are identified and treated in different hospital settings. Attendees will discuss the financial impacts, challenges, and potential solutions for these institutions.
