The Center for Global Health Equity is pleased to host a conversation with Tetiana Skrypchenko, deputy director of The Rating Group— a sociological research institute based in Ukraine. She will be joined in discussion by Stephanie Chardoul (U-M Survey Research Center) and William Axinn (U-M International Policy Center).

ABOUT THE SEMINAR
In this presentation, Skrypchenko, will explore her team's work through a health lens, focusing on wartime surveys to plan health-related interventions and policies for families and children. Following Skrypchenko's presentation, Stephanie Chardoul, director of survey research operations at the Institute for Social Research, will describe the pilot work done to launch a collaborative longitudinal survey project centered on children's health among displaced Ukrainian families. A group discussion will be moderated by William Axinn, a research professor at the Institute for Social Research and a member of the Center for Global Health Equity, ensuring a continued focus on the health implications of Skrypchenko's work.

ABOUT TETIANA SKRYPCHENKO

Tetiana Skrypchenko is a sociologist with a master's degree from Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv. Since 2018 she has been an integral part of the Ukrainian research institution Sociological Rating Group, serving first as a senior analyst, and currently as Deputy Director of its online research substructure Rating Online. Her expertise lies in both qualitative and quantitative research data analysis, and she has contributed to over 100 prominent research projects, gaining a deep understanding of Ukrainian society. In the context of the war, she has actively participated in 23 waves of surveys in Ukraine and also led 5 research studies involving Ukrainians living abroad.
