We will study cultural history and heritage of India through lectures and discussions. Indian civilization dates back five thousand years and the elements of its culture grew, flourished and suffered decay throughout this period. Topics will include social and political thought, religion and philosophy, languages, literature, art, architecture, music and science and their influence and legacy on the world at large.
