Teach for America Employer Challenge
Thank you for your interest in the Teach for America Employer Challenge hosted by the University Career Center! Teach For America develops leaders to partner with students and communities, tackling inequities and transforming systems to create a more just future.Case Description: As a school administrator on the Discipline Equity Task Force, you'll use data and stakeholder insights to proposea policy for transforming your school into a more equitable environment.Sign up as a team of 2-4 U-M Ann Arbor undergraduate students. Employer Office Hours: Friday, November 8th, 12:00-12:30 pm EST (at least one member must attend). If no one can attend, your team cannotparticipate.
Final Case Presentations: Friday, November 15th, 1:00-3:30 pm EST (in person). Each team will present a5-minute pitch to Teach for America and participate in a Q&A. You must sign up for a 15-minute slot.
The application closes November 3, 2024, at 11:59 pm EST. Teams are accepted on a rolling basis andnotified by November 4th. Questions? Email uccexp@umich.edu.How Employer Challenges Work:
Case Distribution (Virtual): Wednesday, November 6th – You'll receive case materials via email and select your preferred presentation slot
Employer Office Hours (Virtual): Friday, November 8th, 12:00-12:30 pm EST – At least one team member must attend.
Final Presentations (In-Person): Friday, November 15th, 1:00-3:30 pm EST – Teams present their 5-minute pitch to Teach for America reps.
The Following Week: The winningteam will be announced and will receive an exclusive group networking session and company swag!
Resumes of participating students will be sent to Teach for America.
