Presented By: Sessions @ Michigan
[Race, Gender, and Feminist Philosophy] Nov 8: Lorde & Jackson
Hi all,
Thanks to those of you who attended yesterday for a great discussion!
Our next meeting will be in 2 weeks on Nov 8, at 10:30 am in 2271 Angell. We'll be discussing Audre Lorde's essay "Uses of the Erotic: The Erotic as Power" (1984) and Zakiyyah Iman Jackson's chapter, "Not Our Own: Sex, Genre, and the Insect Poetics of Octavia Butler’s 'Bloodchild'" (2020).
We are planning to have a session for flash talks on Dec 6 - let us know if you'd like to present! We are also looking for discussion leaders for reading group sessions on Nov 8 and Nov 22.
If you'd like to join in on zoom on Nov 8, the link is here. Hope to see many of you there!
Best, Yixuan & AG
