An overview featuring rare recordings from the Bill Doggett Archive. Bill Doggett II, namesake and nephew of the well known Rhythm and Blues organist jazz pianist and arranger Bill Doggett who created the landmark Gold Record, Billboard and Cash Box award winning 1956 Rock n Roll instrumental hit, Honky Tonk, Parts 1 and 2, has a deep knowledge of African American performing arts history, jazz history and music repertoire.
