The University of Michigan Space Institute is hosting an Alumni Career Chat & Luncheon with Dr. Natacha Chough on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 12-2 PM in Room 2525 in the Climate and Space Research Building on North Campus. Dr. Chough is a NASA Flight Surgeon, Assistant Professor at University of Texas Medical Branch, and an alumna of the U-M Medical School. She will be presenting on "Caring for Astronauts, One Mission at a Time."

“Space Medicine” sounds cool, but what is it? This presentation will introduce attendees to the specialty of Aerospace Medicine, including what medical education and training is required to be a physician for astronauts, pilots, and spaceflight participants; potential career paths; and a glimpse of what it is like to practice clinical and operational Aerospace Medicine at NASA.
