South Korea has been facing a political crisis since President Yoon declared martial law on December 3, 2024. What insights and perspectives can political scientists who have studied and observed Korean politics offer to help understand the current situation? This webinar brings together seven political scientists specializing in comparative politics and international relations. They will briefly share their views on the crisis, its potential impact on the future of democracy in South Korea and beyond, and its broader implications for international security and the global economy. In the second half of the webinar, the panelists will also answer questions from the audience.
