Creating Accessible Workplace Environments

A disability-inclusive workplace is an accessible workplace! Join us as we explore how to create and maintain inclusive, accessible environments for all, especially for individuals with disabilities. We’ll cover practical support strategies, essential resources, and topics like disclosure, self-advocacy, and accommodations. Ideal for diversity, equity, and inclusion certificate participants, this session will help you champion accessibility and inclusivity in diverse professional spaces by developing an “Accessibility is Everyone’s Responsibility ” mindset, which, in turn, can be modeled to others.
This workshop is designed for University of Michigan master’s students, doctoral students, and postdoctoral fellows. For faculty and staff, please contact rackhampdeworkshops@umich.edu to see if we can accommodate your attendance.
Registration is required at https://myumi.ch/bEWNW.
We want to ensure full and equitable participation in our events. If an accommodation would promote your full participation in this event, please follow the registration link to indicate your accommodation requirements. Please let us know as soon as possible in order to have adequate time, preferably one week, to arrange for your requested accommodations or an effective alternative.
