Data Science in National Security: The Data Science Fellowship at IDA
Recent graduates, please tune in on January 15th to learn about the unique Data Science Fellowship at the Institute for Defense Analyses! In this panel discussion we’ll be joined by the Data Science Fellowship program coordinator as well as current fellows. Kristen, June, Sarah and Pallavi will share insights into the application process, project work, skills development, as well as social aspects of the program. Plus, they’ll share commentary on how participation in the Data Science Fellowship has prepared them for future employment and the road ahead. We’ll also share background on IDA culture and the mission behind the work we do! This three-year paid fellowship is a project-based learning experience within a variety of research areas. In a collaborative team environment, fellows perform data manipulation and statistical, econometric, predictive, descriptive, and other quantitative analyses to help answer important sponsor-funded research questions as well as internal-funded business operations questions.This is a full-time position open only to recent recipients of a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
