Women Shaping the Future of Health & Science
On April 25, 2025, at 1 pm., the NeuroNetwork is hosting a symposium, “Women Shaping the Future of Health and Science,” in the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Auditorium and Gilbert S. Omenn Atrium in the A. Alfred Taubman Biomedical Science Research Building.
Keynote speakers include National Academy of Medicine President Victor Dzau, M.D., Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, U.S. Representative Debbie Dingell, U.S. Representative Haley Stevens, and University of Michigan Provost Laurie McCauley, DDS.
Other featured speakers will be Laurie McAllister Lucas, M.D., Ph.D., Sung Won Choi, M.D., M.S., Suzanne Dawid, M.D., Ph.D, Samantha Schon, M.D., and Kanakadurga Singer, M.D., M.A.
The symposium will feature three themed sections: Women Leaders Effecting Change, Women in Science, and Women in Healthcare. Each will include keynotes and speakers, followed by an interactive panel discussion with Michigan Medicine leadership.
“Women Shaping the Future of Health and Science” celebrates Edith Briskin's philanthropy and efforts to empower women in science and healthcare.
Please join us for what will be a remarkable afternoon, shining a light on the contributions of women to advancing the cause of medical science and care. A reception will follow the symposium at 5 p.m.
