First-time and seasoned conference attendees are encouraged to attend this discussion of conferencing and conferences in the Environmental Humanities. A range of speakers at different stages in their academic careers will present their insights on a range of topics including (but not limited to): How do you pitch and organize a conference panel? What opportunities can conferences lead to (publication? networking? conference committee involvement?), and how do you find and navigate these opportunities? What conferences have Environmental Humanists found particularly useful? An audience Q&A will follow the speakers' initial reflections. We will also discuss conferences outside the realm of the Environmental Humanities, so even if you do not consider yourself an Environmental Humanities scholar, we hope you will join us!
