Join this Design Jam with University of Michigan Center for Innovation (UMCI) leadership to help develop new strategies for engaging City of Detroit residents in upcoming hybrid community engagement sessions. The UMCI will be a space in downtown Detroit informed by community members’ input.
UMCI leadership is seeking design suggestions on reconceptualizing the community engagement charette model, a participatory design approach, to be innovative and engaging in both an in-person and online format. This exciting opportunity gives students a chance to come up with solutions that will be put into practice this spring. Gain real-world experience and positively impact Detroiters and the future of the UMCI.
The design challenge for this Design Jam is:
