2025 Spring Break Lansing Immersion: EGLE, MDARD, and DNR

Spend one day visiting the Department of Environment, Great Lakesand Energy (EGLE),  Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD), and Department of Natural Resources (DNR) through the Spring Break 2025 Immersion experience with the University Career Center in collaboration with Public Service Intern Program (PSIP) and the School of Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) on Thursday, March 6th! This is a great experience for students wanting to learn about what it's like to work in the Lansing area. During the immersion students will have the opportunity to engage with the following employers:  Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE):EGLE works to protect Michigan's natural resources by regulating environmental policies related to air, water, and land. It also focuses on sustainable energy, waste management, and addressing climate change challenges in the state.Michigan Department of Agriculture and RuralDevelopment (MDARD):MDARD promotes Michigan's agricultural industry by ensuring food safety, supporting farmers, and encouraging sustainable farming practices. It also works to enhance rural economic development and strengthen the state's agricultural infrastructure.Department of Natural Resources (DNR):The DNR manages Michigan's public lands, wildlife, and natural resources, overseeing state parks, forests, and outdoor recreation. It also works to conserve fish, wildlife, and habitats.Applications will close February 12th. Priority will be given to students that submit their application early. Pleasenote that by applying to this Immersion you are agreeing to attend shouldyou be selected.AGENDA FOR THE TRIP IS FORTHCOMINGPlease click 'Register' to fill out your application. By applying for this Immersion, you are confirming your ability to attend this event should you be selected. Students must be able to attend the full program in Lansing to participate. University Career Center staff will be along with you on the Immersion to guide you through the day, and more details will be provided to the selected participants. Transportation and lunch WILL be provided for this event. Students are advised to bring 3 copies of their updated resume to the event.
