SMBC Meet and Greet: Global Markets - Sales & Trading

Our SMBC Meet and Greet Series is a unique opportunity to meet and interact with the various business areas that hire interns and analysts. This session will feature an overview of one business group, followed by a Q&A session.Note: You are welcome to attend as many of the Meet and Greet sessions as you like. You can find each session’s participating business groups on our events central page here.  Our Global Markets Sales & Trading department includes the following groups:Macro Rates Sales & TradingThe Macro Rates Sales & Trading team offers an expansive suite of derivative and cash rates and FX products for SMBC’s institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, insurers, and real estate investors. The Trading team manages a global trading book alongside SMBC colleagues in London and Hong Kong.Credit Sales & TradingThe Credit Sales & Trading team offers abroad range of investment services and facilitates client transactions across investment-grade, high-yield, asset-backed, collateralized loan, and emerging market fixed-income products. Each group manages a trading book servicing clients across the world. Risk Solutions SalesThe Risk Solutions Sales team provides a wide array of interest rate and FX hedging products and services to SMBC’s corporate, sponsor, and project finance clients in close partnership with Macro RatesTrading and the Investment Banking and Coverage teams.Systematic TradingThe Global Markets Systematic Trading Group is a cross-product electronic and quantitative trading team that develops and deploys a broad range of trading tools, systems, and algorithms to enhance SMBC’s market-making, hedging, and execution efficiency.
