SMBC Meet and Greet: Latin America Project and Corporate Finance
Our SMBC Meet and Greet Series is a unique opportunity to meet and interact with the various business areas that hire interns and analysts. This session will feature overviews of four business groups, followed by a Q&A session.Note: You are welcome to attend as many of the Meet and Greet sessions as you like. The four business groups include:Latin America Project & Structured FinanceStructured and Project Finance is a core business for SMBC and the bank has been successful advising, structuring, arranging, underwriting, and distributing project & structured finance loans and bonds globally. Along with other departments within the bank, they provide a variety of financing solutions for large scale infrastructure projects across Latin America including power projects, new energies and natural resources, and infrastructure. Structured Finance Acquisition & Advisory (SFAA)The Structured Finance Acquisition & Advisory (SFAA) Group provides M&A advisory, debt advisory, and acquisition financing to large corporations and financial sponsors in both North America and Latin America. The group primarily covers the growing infrastructure industry, the power industry, and new energies and natural resources sectors, with agrowing focus on energy transition and ESG-themed projects.Capital Solutions GroupCapital Solutions Group team members manage the formulation, execution, and communication of the company'sstrategic objectives and support the management board with decision-making on strategic direction, resource allocation, business opportunities, and risk appetite.Latin America Corporate Finance GroupThe Latin America Corporate Finance Group (LADA-CF) is responsible for originating, structuring, executing and monitoring corporate finance transactions in Latin America. LADA-CF covers clients in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and other countries in Central America. TheNew York team is divided into the following sector verticals: Natural Resources, Power & Utilities, Consumer, Financial Institutions, Financial Sponsors and Industrials.
