Library of Congress: Librarians-In-Residence: Live Information Session
The Librarians-in-Residence (LIR) program gives early-career librarians the opportunity to gain meaningful work experience alongside esteemed library professionals while benefiting from on-the-job training and mentorship. Selectees will be offered an initial six-month, temporary appointment at the GS-9 pay level. The program is open to students who have earned or will complete their master’s degree at an American Library Association-accredited program between December 1, 2023 and June 14, 2025.Students are invited to join to learn details and benefits of the program, get insights on how to apply and hear directly from an LIR participant about their experience.
