Class meets Mondays, June 10 - July 22
We will read and discuss “The Oath” by Jeffrey Toobin, who investigated the ideological battle between the conservative majority on the court and the Obama administration. Never before have so many fundamental issues come to the court in such a short time. With a 5-4 majority and aging justices, both sides realize they have little time to dramatically redefine rights that have evolved over the history of our country. Gerry Lapidus will lead the first discussion and volunteers will lead the remaining classes. Please read through page 17 for the first session.
