Exchange and Urbanization in Early Rome: Perspectives from S. Omobono
FAST Lecture

Since the 1930s, excavations at the site of S. Omobono have revealed an uninterrupted archaeological sequence stretching back at least to the Early Iron Age (EIA). Recent work by the University of Michigan and the Università della Calabria has prompted the launch of a large-scale research project designed to investigate the role of exchange in the sociopolitical development of EIA Rome.
