Libraries are emerging as collaboratories for interdisciplinary research and are important partners in fostering digitally-assisted humanities scholarship. These lightning talks will showcase examples of humanities cyberinfrastructure resources and case studies throughout MLibrary.

10:00 to 11:30 a.m. - Talk by Patrik Svensson titled The Humanistiscope: Exploring the Situatedness of Humanities Cyberinfrastructure
This talk will focus on cyberinfrastructure, research infrastructure or e-science within the sphere of humanities. It argues that the humanities need to set their own infrastructural agenda based on the humanities as a project, scholarly challenges in the disciplines, and through a deeper connection of ideas with infrastructure. Patrik Svensson is a Professor in the humanities and information technology, and Director of HUMlab at Umeå University.
