Understanding what services are available to help older adults remain living independently in the community, and what resources may be available to help cover these services, can be a very difficult maze to navigate. Jenny will provide information to help older adults or their family caregiver through this maze of long term care services.

Forgiving other people who have been hurtful can be an important stepping stone to increased peace and happiness in later life. Forgiveness is a process involving specific skills that can be learned. This presentation focuses on:
Ӣ Discovering why forgiveness is important to well-being;
Ӣ Learning about phases in the forgiveness process; and
Ӣ Practicing skills that can aid in the forgiveness process.

Many times after a hospital stay related to an illness or injury, individuals can be in a weakened condition and may require some additional strength training before returning home. This workshop will help you to understand the importance and impact that short-term rehabilitation has on the recovery process and how it can enhance your independence following a hospital stay.
Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to answer the following questions:

Ӣ How will I know if I need short-term rehabilitation?
Ӣ How do I find the best short-term rehabilitation center for my needs?
