Join us for a reading and book signing with Merrie Haskell, author of "Handbook for Dragon Slayers," a young adult novel out this summer from Harper Collins. The book presents a magical tale of transformation, danger, and duty, starring a stubborn and brave princess who befriends magical horses and battles flame-spouting dragons.

Haskell's first novel for tweens, "The Princess Curse," was a Junior Library Guild selection. Her short fiction appears in Nature, Asimov’s, and various anthologies.
